Rousselot (Guangdong) Gelatin Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Rousselot France SAS and Kaiping Gelatin Company with Rousselot SAS holding 75% share while 25% by Chinese Partner. With more than 100 years history on gelatin manufacturing and application and research, Rousselot SAS is well recognized as the world leader in gelatin manufacturing and support. The Chinese Partner has more than 40 years history in gelatin production with its gelatin quality running the first place in China. The company occupies an area of 100,000 square meters and has annual gelatin output of 6,200 MT and more than 30, 000 tons of by product and is the largest gelatin manufacture in Asia Pacific Area.

The Company supplies photographic, pharmaceutical and edible gelatin, di-calcium phosphate, meat and bone meal,  and exports its product to Europe, America and other countries and areas worldwide.  The whole gelatin production line is imported from UK and equipped with a complete set of utilities including water supply, power supply, air supply, refrigeration and environmental protection facilities and so on. Combination of the overseas advanced gelatin production technology with our many years’ practice experience in China gives full play of the advantage of multi-national Company on technology, equipment, management, so that our products meet the international advanced standard of the same kind of products in the world.

The company has obtained following certifications and rewards since the establishment of the JV: ISO9002 management system and HACCP certification in 2000 and in 2001 respectively by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and certification of suitability of monographs of European pharmacopoeia issued by EDQM in 2000, "Quarantine and Health Registration Certificate”for edible and pharmaceutical gelatin production issued by National Entry-exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau, “Pharmaceutical Manufacturing License” issued by FDA as well as " The Outstanding Food Enterprise of China Food Industry" rewarded by China Food Industry Association in 2002. At present, it is the only gelatin manufacturer qualified as HALAL issued by Islamic organization and KOSHER by American Jewish committee.
